Back in the day

1967--back when they didn't have safety railings around the fjords. Ah, those were the days--when one could perch on the precipice in heels with two preschoolers! That's Mom, and my sister Kathy, on the right. And down there behind us is Kristiansand, the town closest to the farm where my father grew up. I was going through a stage--I remember it so well: I thought I looked cute when I crinkled my nose--the "something stinks around here" crinkle. Must've seen it on a TV show. Or else it was an unconscious response to the Nixon presidency. Whatever, it wasn't Norway; in Norway the air smells like milk chocolate and hay.

And with Tante Kristina and her beloved cow. (Did I post this already? Who can remember--so many cows, and life is so long.)

Hugh Thompson of My Lai massacre fame died Friday, I see. Talk about proud to be an American...

Ah...fresh air.

And such great pics too!

When I read that Mr. Thompson died I wondered how many really even remember My Lai...or Vietnam really.

We are unable to learn from history...

Hope you and the kiddo are feeling better!

I guess there's another place to add to those I'd like to see; that list just keeps growing, as does the one of wonderful people I've met here!

WoW!

What wonderful memories you must have.

I don't know, I think the nose crinkle is working for you.

Too cute.

Hope you are feeling better.

Regarding Mr. Thompson, I'm currently reading Jane Fonda 'My Life So Far' and it is most interesting to read her take on Vietnam and how much of it applies to the war in Iraq today.

STB is right, as always.

We just never learn.

Love to you, my dear.

You are too funny, your response to the Nixon administration.

Cute pictures. Nothing better than a girl and her prize cow. :)

Kissable crinkled nose.

Those little Angels that live at your house must love seeing their mom being, I sure do.

Back in the day parents didn't seem to worry about anything.

My Mom would be looking at me as if I had two heads with the the things I worry about.
