Sunday Photo Day!
Remember when chicks wore too much crap in their hair and gauzy dresses over black body stockings, and somehow didn't get that while they were feeling that snug, slimming lycra on their bodies the world saw them floating by in an oversized tent?? Man, I was hot. Only the best for Art Linkletter.
One of my wacky notions, in the years at the beloved nonprofit, was to ask Linkletter to do a commercial for one of our books on aging. He said yes, and treated me to a few hours of I'm a Celebrity out there in L.A. What a fragile little universe. Cordial relations subsequently fell apart when he realized that aforementioned nonprofit had zero budget to go broad with national spots, but never mind; I had a date with a lovely film critic that night, and went to a Hollywood opening. Those cordial relations also subsequently fell apart. But what fun.

funny, i remembered art's daughter when i saw that pic too. i always found it tragic that he seemed so aware of kids on his show, and yet his own child was obviously lost.
