One hand clapping
The kids love their teachers. I'm talking giddy, can't-wait-for-Monday love. Love's exhausting; they fell asleep at 7 tonight, one of them whispering fear of zombies and the other fear of goblins, courtesy of their older cousin who took them into a closet with a flashlight and indoctrinated them to the bogeyman. "No bad things in this house," I smile, my most reassuring, omniscient smile; "love keeps bad things away." From downstairs I can hear Maisie instructing Liam in basic meditative technique: for her, it's a rose; for him, a green kite. "Where's my soul?" he asks her. "In your feelings," she says, and I see the omniscience is genetic.
GMH, you've blocked the good with the bad. Let us back in, honey.

but its a good day :)
have a great weekend!
Wonderful news about the teachers! It makes all the difference. Looks like we will have a good year with teachers too.
Your children sound amazing.
By the way, its not a bad mom thing to have a 5 yr old who doesn't swim. The only reason mine swim is because Great-Gransma's pool has no fence - not required as it sits on an 82 acre farm! Swimming was imperative if we were to visit!
Ahhh the boogyman. Childhood memories I'd like to forget for 200 Alex! LOL
Glad to hear that your kids are excited about going back to school. Are you just as excited?
That's great that the kiddos are excited about school. What a lovely feeling that must be. Excitement.
Hope the weekend is good...

I'm going over to MGH and check it out....
GayMad, MadGay--I'm thoroughly confused.
But it's still not working. How does the whole "team member" thing get deactivated, I wonder? ...
it is so awesome that your kids meditate...your home sounds like such a warm, safe, & cozy place...here's to a great school year for both kids...peace...
