Decisions, decisions
Redoing the downstairs bathroom--ripping off layers of old wallpaper (not mine), picking out these beautiful old tiles for the floor, whitewashing the wainscoting (installed by Lester), choosing the sink and fixtures. I've never had such freedom--never redone a room (never mind that it's 4x4; not the point) in my life. And I find...it's too much for me. I'm hearing a mad-hysterical howling: THIS is not my beautiful house--this tumbled marble, these brushed nickel sconces. My chest tightens up; I can't breathe.
I need a mirror, and can't find the right one. It would be the mirror, of course, that trips me up. I need something ethnic, maybe folk artsy, or something hammered together by Cuban revolutionaries in idle moments. I need a clue, hanging in that room. A hint, or reminder, for strangers, or my children, or myself.
I need medication.

In the abssence of medication, try a large bar of choclate..
Redoing a room .. scary.. expensive decision that you have to live with for a long time!
Even paint, OMG! I dream of repainting y whole house.. and waiscotting? Love it.. want it up my stairway and into this room where I sit. I am going to change this room from my own computer room, into a guest room in the next month or so... a coat of mpaint is in order.
I am giving up a sanctuary, and will have only my bedreoom to flee to.. no rrom for my alter.. my goddess and fountain.. my stones and crystals.. well.. maybe I can manage something..
Bathrooms? I have faith in you.. choose the color wisely.. painting with grreen or yellow will make you look.. colorless.. (and you my friend are anything but colorless!)
I suggest soft pinks and roses and colors that will enhance your natural glow ..
And remember to use those pink light bulbs.. hehe might as well let science enhance what nature gave you..
