42 days and counting
Well, Maisie's gone south again--the annual summer thing--6 weeks of it--with her Dad in Baltimore. It's getting easier; in the beginning it was like my heart was ripped out and flung down the highway with her. But this is the third year, and he's relaxing a bit, and Maisie's older, and Liam--well, he still has a hard time, missing her. But we're better than we were. So there's hope, see? For all of you who struggle in shitty relationships without a court-ordered parenting agreement, I tell you now: go and spend the money and get one, because there's almost assuredly more peace after than there is before.
Thought I had more to say. Going to hang with Liam, and eat Haagen Dazs, 'cause the glass of wine didn't do the trick. Oh yeah, I'm just fine.

Oh ! how hard it must be to send your baby away for weeks! You are very strong to be able to do it.. and I hope the time passes well and happily for you both
I just want to say how much your encouraging posts on my blog have meant to me..
i find myself wishing for neighbors in so called real life, like i have online..
we could have some wine.. Guinness etc ( I make a mean Irish Car Bomb) and shore each other up!
liam? love that name.. maisie too!
i have used that name as an alias on a site :)
Hang in there! being a mom is not for the faint of heart, is it?
Hi Inger, I'm here via McKait's blog. Love your posts, but your font is SO tiny, how would you feel about enlarging it just a bit for us myopics?
Drop into my blog if you've a mind to, I'll be back to read more of yours!
It must feel like an eternity. I can hardly get through a sleepover at Grandma's!
Hope Liam enjoys his one on one time!
